Akashi White Oak

Akashi White Oak is a Japanese whisky distillery located in Akashi, Hyogo Prefecture. It is owned by Eigashima Shuzo, a company with a long history in alcohol production, including sake and shochu. While Eigashima Shuzo obtained Japan's first whisky license in 1919, the dedicated White Oak whisky distillery was built in 1984 to commence full-scale whisky production. The distillery is known for its Akashi brand whiskies.
