Glenwyvis Distillery, located in Dingwall, Scotland, holds the distinction of being Scotland’s first community-owned distillery. It is also notable for being the first to operate entirely on renewable energy sources. The distillery was re-established in 2017, marking a return of whisky production to the area after a significant hiatus. Its initial single malt releases, such as those distilled in 2018 and 2019, reflect its early production output.
