Potrójna destylacja została wstrzymana w 1928 roku. Od tamtej pory pozostaje tajemnicą, jaki styl whisky był wówczas produkowany, ale eksperci Diageo uważają, że mogłoby to wyjaśniać nietypową konfigurację alembików – dwóch alembików do destylacji wstępnej (wash stills) i trzech do destylacji końcowej (spirit stills).
