Karuizawa Distillery
Karuizawa Distillery was a Japanese whisky distillery located in Miyota, Nagano Prefecture, near Mount Asama. Established in 1955, it was known for producing single malt whiskies using small stills and, for a period, Golden Promise barley. The distillery ceased production in 2000, and its remaining stock became highly prized by collectors and enthusiasts worldwide.
