Indie bottling enterprise founded by the brothers Scott and Andrew Laing.
History
Edition Spirits was founded in 2010 by the Laing brothers and run as a separate enterprise to their father’s business.
Scott and Andrew joined their father Stewart at Hunter Laing when he split from Douglas Laing in 2013. Edition Spirits became an operational arm of Hunter Laing and the First Editions series was moved across to join its portfolio.
Timeline
- 2010 Edition Spirits was established in Scotland by brothers Andrew and Scott Symington.
- 2010 The company introduced its primary range of single cask whiskies, "The First Editions".
- 2010 Edition Spirits began bottling whiskies from various Scottish distilleries, including Glenrothes, Balmenach, and Ben Nevis.
