A Taiwanese consumer conglomerate and owner of Kavalan Distillery (Yilan, Taiwan). Kavalan became famous for its rapid maturation — the subtropical climate and high temperatures allow a whisky to develop complexity in a few years that rivals decades-old Scotch. The Kavalan Solist series (cask strength: Sherry, Bourbon, Port, Vinho Barrique) is considered among the finest world whiskies.
