Yellow Spot is the 12-year-old Single Pot Still Irish whiskey in the Mitchell & Son "Spot" range — the more mature sibling of Green Spot. It is distilled at the Midleton distillery.
Its signature is a triple maturation: ex-bourbon, sherry and — unusually — Spanish Malaga wine casks, giving a sweeter, spicier-fruity profile (honey, apricot, orange peel) than the brighter Green Spot, while keeping the oily pot-still texture.
